Neuropathy

Nerve pain, taken seriously.

Burning, tingling, numbness or stabbing pain in your hands or feet makes simple things hard. We start by finding out what's driving it, then build a plan to support your nerves, without surgery and without adding medication.

Sound familiar?

These are the nine most common signs of peripheral neuropathy. Any one of them is worth having checked, and the earlier the better.

  • Tingling
  • Pins and needles
  • Sharp, stabbing pain
  • Dull, achy pain
  • Cramping
  • Burning
  • Sensitivity to shoes, clothes or sheets
  • Numbness
  • Loss of balance

We look for the cause first.

Nerve damage has many causes: poor blood flow, blood sugar, old injuries, infections, toxins, autoimmunity. The cause is different for every patient, so the evaluation comes before any treatment, and it tells you whether you're a good candidate before you commit.

Structure

Your spine

Where pressure on the nerves starts, measured with the same scans we use for every patient.

Neurological

Your nervous system

Which nerve fibers are affected and how much: the small fibers that carry pain, the large ones that carry touch and balance, and the motor nerves that move your muscles.

Metabolic

Your metabolic health

Blood sugar, nutrition and the other things in your body that decide whether a nerve can recover.

Fuel and activation.

A recovering nerve needs two things: the raw materials to repair, and a reason to start working again. Every neuropathy plan at CREW is built on both.

Fuel

Feed the nerve

Better blood flow to the hands and feet, light therapy, and nutrition guided by your metabolic results, so the nerve has what it needs to repair.

Red light · PEMF · Nutrition

Activation

Wake it up

Nerve re-education and targeted therapies that stimulate the damaged fibers, to ease pain and improve balance.

Nerve re-education · SoftWave · Decompression

Can nerves heal?

Often, yes. Peripheral nerves can recover when the cause of the damage is addressed and the nerve gets the support it needs.

How much depends on the cause, how severe the damage is, which fibers are involved, and how long it has gone on. Muscle weakness that has lasted more than two years may not fully return. That’s why we measure first and tell you honestly what to expect.

“I was surprised that I could bring my groceries by myself into the house and not feel uncomfortable. I am completely satisfied and grateful. Thank you, Dr. Eric and all the staff.”

“When I woke up Wednesday morning the pain in my left toes has almost totally gone away. I used to have a very hard time bending my toes. I look forward to a future without pain.”

Before you book.

Do I have to stop my medication?

No. Keep working with your physician on your medications. Our care works alongside it, and we’re happy to coordinate.

Do you help with diabetic neuropathy?

Yes. Many of our neuropathy patients have diabetes-related nerve damage. Blood sugar is part of the metabolic evaluation, and we work alongside your physician.

How long until I notice a difference?

It varies with the cause and severity. The evaluation tells you what to expect before you start, and we re-measure as you go.

Is it covered by insurance?

Some parts may be. We’ll go over your coverage and the cost of your plan before anything starts.
