Take the pressure off.
Non-surgical decompression gently lengthens the spine to ease pressure on discs and the nerves around them. It’s where many people with a bulging or herniated disc, sciatica or a pinched nerve start, before anyone mentions surgery.

Is this you?
If two or more of these sound familiar, decompression is worth a conversation.
- You’ve been told you have a bulging or herniated disc
- Pain runs down your leg or arm
- You’re relying on pain medication to get through the day
- You’re missing work, workouts or time with your kids
- Someone has mentioned surgery, and you want to try everything else first
How it works.
We measure
Posture, nerve scan and imaging when it’s needed, so we know which disc and which nerve we’re working with.
Gentle traction
You lie comfortably on the table while it slowly lengthens and relaxes the spine in cycles, easing pressure on the disc. Most people relax, and some fall asleep.
The rest of the plan
Adjustments, soft-tissue work and, where it helps, SoftWave or PEMF, so the disc heals and the area around it gets stronger.
From CREW patients.
“I’m amazed at the positive results that my sessions of neck decompression and chiropractic adjustments have made! Dr. Brett Sesma is a highly skilled chiropractor, he explains everything.”
“I’ve seen and felt drastic improvements in my spine, posture, hip alignment and overall health, as is evidenced by my updated x-rays and spine/disc scans.”
“He thoroughly explains and educates us of the treatment process. Between adjustments and decompression sessions, I’m like a new person.”
Before you book.
Does decompression hurt?
No. It should feel like a slow, gentle stretch. If anything is uncomfortable, we adjust it right away.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the disc, how long it’s been a problem, and how you respond. Your doctor gives you a plan after your exam, and we re-measure as you go.
Is it the same as traction?
It’s related, but slower and more controlled. The table lengthens and relaxes in cycles so the muscles around the spine don’t guard against it.
Can it help if I’ve already had back surgery?
Sometimes. It depends on the surgery. Bring your records and your doctor will tell you honestly whether it’s a fit.
Decompression isn’t right for everyone. Your doctor will review your history and imaging before recommending it. Results vary from person to person.
